Walter "Walt" Fletcher II

Walter “Walt” Eugene Fletcher II, age 83, of Kentwood, MI, passed peacefully surrounded by his loved ones, on Monday, August 25, 2025. He will be lovingly remembered by his dear wife Sue Ann (Tickner) Fletcher of 57 years; son, Andrew Reed “Andy” Fletcher; grandsons, Graham Reed, Thomas Reed; sisters, Julianne Fletcher of Douglas, MI, Joan Edwards of Kingsport, TN; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving father, E. Reed; mother, Marguerite; and sister, Marilou. Walt was a leader and excellent in negotiation and cost savings in the purchasing industry for many years, as well as time working with computer technology. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, renovating properties owned by himself and Sue. In his photo, Walt is standing next to a cabinet that he hand crafted himself, which was a hobby that he enjoyed. He also loved animals, especially his siamese cat, JuJu and his chocolate lab, Fletch. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Kent County Animal Shelter.
