Todd Russell

Todd Eugene Russell, age 66, of Wyoming, passed peacefully on Sunday, October 12, 2025 at University of Michigan Health - West Hospital.  He will be lovingly remembered by his mother Arlene Russell of Meridian, Idaho, many cousins and  friends, and co-workers at Avalon Roofing and Exteriors, where he was employed for many years.  He was preceded in death by his loving companion, Barbara Frey Decamp VanderPloeg.  Todd served his country in the United States Army and spent two years in Germany.  Todd thoroughly enjoyed his career in the construction industry as a skilled tradesman, and was well known for his attention to detail and going above and beyond. He was a loving father to his step-children Todd, Dennis, and Wendy, and a wonderful father-figure to Amy.  Todd was a kind-hearted soul, who loved animals and especially his long-haired white cat, Cutie Pie, who has been adopted by one of his cousins.  A Catholic Funeral Mass will be held at 11am, Friday, October 31st at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3937 Wilson S.W., Grandville, Fr. Douglas Braun, celebrant, and luncheon to follow the service.  Burial will be held at Grandville Cemetery, Friday at 1:00 pm.  Family and friends may meet the family at 10am  at the church for a time of memories.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Fig and Friend Pet Rescue 145 Alger St., SE Grand Rapids, MI 49503.
