Steven L. Johnson, 69, of Grand Rapids, MI, a loving brother, father, and grandpa, went home to his Heavenly Father on April 30, 2026.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Terrie; his second wife, Becky; his daughter, Victoria; his son, William; and his parents, Arnold and Marion Johnson.
He is survived by his son, Timothy, and daughter-in-law, Arrin; his grandchildren, Jonah, Ruth, and Kara; his brothers, Dave (Debbie) and Tom (Lori) Johnson; his aunt, Judy; his nephew, Austin; great nieces and nephews and several cousins.
His gentle spirit, steady presence, and deep faith touched everyone he interacted with, and he will be profoundly missed. He lived with four enduring values: God, family, church, and work. He loved lighthouses almost as much as he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
One of Steve’s favorite passages was Romans 8:38–39: “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Services will be held on May 26th at 12:00 PM at Simple Traditions, LLC, 3131 Division Ave, Wyoming, MI, 49548. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the House of Hope at Resurrection Life Church.
