Sherry Marie Gryzen, age 56, of Jenison, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 25, 2026. She was a master of crafts and quite the artist. She loved her cats and enjoyed feeding squirrels. She also enjoyed swimming and floating on water, walking and being outdoors. She especially enjoyed shopping. She was a generous woman and loved her family, especially being Nana to her beloved grandchildren.
She will be lovingly remembered by her mother, Diane Gryzen; longtime companion, Bruce H. Brown II; children: Angel (Laura VanWyk) Christman, Alicha (Clark) Borden, Flynn Suttorp; grandchildren: Raeleigh, Arlo, Hazel; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother and sister: Dale Lee Gryzen, Debbie Lynn Gryzen.
A Celebration of Sherry’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at Grand Rapids First, 2100 44th St. SW, Wyoming. Visitation will be held 10 a.m. on Tuesday at the church prior to the service. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the needs of the family.
Sherry was a beautiful soul and will be missed dearly prays for the family.
