Kathy Lee (Bryant) Schumacker, age 66, of Wyoming, surrounded by her family, went to be with her Lord and Savior, on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. She will be lovingly remembered by her dear husband, Alvin Schumacker; son and daughter-in-law, Nathan and Shannon Smith, daughter and son-in-law, Melanie and Mark Burns; grandchildren, Angela Smith, Serenity Mercer; brothers Joe (Diane) Bryant, Bill (Kathy) Bryant, and Terry; sister Nancy Bryant, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Smith Bryant and Vivian (Roberts) Bryant. Kathy was deeply spiritual and shared a close, personal relationship with her Heavenly Father. She had a servant’s heart, always seeking to meet the needs of others. As a true Good Samaritan, she would gladly give her last dollar to help someone in need. Kathy was always there to lend a listening ear and cherished every conversation she had. She loved and adored her family, especially her two granddaughters, who brought her great joy and the love of being a mammaw. Which was her biggest accomplishment in life. She also held a deep affection for the mountains of Kentucky, where her family roots run strong. She also had a deep love for the Michigan Wolverine football team, and was very vocal about the last game of the season. If one knew Kathy in any way, you know how colorful that day would be. She always loved to find a bargain anywhere she could. She had a great passion for her fur babies. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Humane Society of West Michigan.
