Julianna (Mayerhoefer) Roth, age 83, of Kentwood, went home to her Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 15, 2026. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry; granddaughter, Stacey; her parents; and all of her eight siblings. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Sue (Doug) Punches, Jeff (Sally) Roth, Mary Ellen Roth; twelve grandchildren (with eight spouses); 17 great-grandchildren; many friends and family. Julie had a deep and steadfast faith in Jesus. She expressed her faith through her life as a devoted prayer warrior, always lifting others up in prayer. She generously gave of her time and talents, including teaching girls in Africa how to knit and hosting Bible studies in her home. Julie had a gracious and open heart, welcoming anyone in need of a place to stay—whether for a night, a few weeks, or even months. One last way of her helping others was by making a donation to Gift of Life Michigan. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held for Julianna, Friday, January 23, 2026 at 11:00am at Rush Creek Bible Church, 2334 76th St SW, Byron Center. Those who wish may meet the family from 10:00 - 10:50, prior to the service.
Oh, momma. There will never be enough words to say all the things I’d like to. Life will certainly never be the same. I am blessed with many prayer warriors, but none compared to you. You weren’t just my Momma (I started calling you that because Sue & I sounded so much alike on the phone). I was blessed to also call you my friend. We were blessed to have a strong relationship and I’ll always be grateful. Since you went home to Jesus just 5 days ago, at least half a dozen times I’ve thought “I can’t wait to tell Momma!”! The day before you left, you led a prayer with me and the palliative care lady. You prayed for everyone else first. Then you prayed for yourself. You did not ask for healing or relief from the pain. No, you asked “to be a Light for Him so others could see there is Hope”. I was stunned. Not only that, when you prayed your voice was the strongest it had been in a week! The first word you said after “Amen”, your voice was back to being weak and hard to hear. That’s Holy Spirit in you, momma! When I grow up, I want to be like you…generous with everything I have to offer, a fierce prayer warrior, never give up no matter how tough life gets. Every time I came over, you had a big smile when you saw me thru the window, genuinely glad to see me. The motto you chose when you moved to Walnut Ridge was “keep smiling”. I promise to smile more, momma. I promise. I will see you soon. I love you so very very much. I will miss you deeply until I take my last breath and join you & daddy with Jesus.

Aunt Julie and I shared many conversations and laughs, especially in the last couple years. You were my mom’s baby sister and a friend to me. I have admired your positive attitude in spite of your many challenges and your willingness to share God’s love with whoever you met. I will never have another Whopper Jr. onion rings, and Zesty sauce without thinking of you! ❤️
