Jacqueline Ann Schewe (January 5, 1966 – July 15, 2026)

Jacqueline Ann (Hunley) Schewe, 60, of South Haven, Michigan, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2026, after fighting a long battle with cancer. She was home and surrounded by her family when she went to be with her Lord. A caring, understanding, and empathetic woman, Jackie loved her family dearly and valued their time together, sharing stories and reminiscing about past memories during family gatherings.

Jackie shared a love for fishing, just like her late father, Roy, and greatly enjoyed time on the water or on the side of a lake or river casting a fishing line with family. She loved the beach, the sunshine, and spending time at the casino with her husband, family, and friends. She was an animal lover, having an array of pets over the years. Jackie had aspired as a young woman to be a veterinarian, and instead raised multiple types of animals throughout her adulthood including dogs, cats, ferrets, horses, a tarantula, sugar gliders, an iguana, and a baby deer; the list goes on and on… although, her favorite pastime was spending time with family, especially her husband and her children. Together they would ride horses, go hunting or camping, ride ATVs, and have family vacations, typically somewhere outdoors. 

Jackie and her husband, Eric, owned multiple businesses together over the years; these included being merchant vendors, running a food truck, owning an ice cream shop and grill, and most recently running a print-shop business together. They shared a love of entrepreneurship, and it was that drive that brought them together when they first met. 

Jacqueline will be lovingly remembered by her doting, attentive husband of 20 years, Eric Wayne Schewe; children: Chasity Huntington, Jennifer Huntington, Jason Versluis, Kyle (Alexis) Crowley & Stephanie (Matthew) DeBoer; siblings: Richard (Stephanie) Hunley, Roy (Ginger) Archey, Charlotte Watkins, and Vickey (Kevin) Hunley; her grandchildren: Raine Eckert, Shoshanna Eckert, Olivia Versluis, and Archer Crowley; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Jacqueline was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Eugene and Kathleen Joy Hunley; her parents-in-law, William Eric, Sr. and Ellen (Godlew) Schewe; her Aunt Jo Ann Miller; and her brother-in-law, Jerry “Rabbit” Watkins, Jr.

According to her wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of Jackie's life will be held at a later date. Those who wish to make memorial contributions, please reach out directly to her immediate family.

Jackie had an immensely unforgettable impact on those who were lucky enough to know her. She will be extremely missed by her family and friends. Rest in peace and in His Holy grace.
