Deloris Viola Steinburg, 94, of Greenville, Michigan, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2026, surrounded by her immediate family.
Born on January 25, 1932, in Buckley, Michigan, Deloris lived a life centered on hard work, family and cherished friendships. She was employed at Frigidaire in Greenville for many years until her retirement in 1987. Following her retirement, she relocated to St. Cloud, Florida, where she enjoyed many years as a snowbird, returning to Michigan each summer to spend time with family and friends. In 2017, she returned permanently to Greenville, where she remained for the rest of her life.
Deloris was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Lula Castle; her beloved husband, August Steinburg; her brothers, Joseph Castle and Arnold Castle; her sisters, Margaret and Jean; and her grandson, Paul Steinburg.
She is survived by her son, Paul Steinburg (Jean); her granddaughter, Melissa Martin; her daughter, Paulette Ingersoll (Rick) and their three sons, Jeremy Ingersoll (Amy), and their sons, Zachary Ingersoll (Tacey), and Connor Ingersoll (Myleigh); her grandson, Justin Ingersoll (Katti), and their children, August and Eva; and her grandson, Joshua Ingersoll (Jama) and their son, Jameson; her sister, Ardath Wagonborg (Jerry) and her brother, John Castle (Deb).
Deloris will be remembered for her unwavering devotion to her family, her strong work ethic, and the many memories she created with those she loved. She was known for her open-door policy, welcoming everyone with a big heart and open arms. She often shared her baked goods with others as a way of showing her appreciation and care. Her warmth, kindness, generosity and enduring presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life was held at her home.
