Claude Griffin II

Claude Andrew Griffin, II, age 93, of Tallmadge Twp., MI, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones, on Sunday, September 7, 2025.  He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 73 years, Alice Irene Miles Griffin; children, Roger Griffin, Cathy Clark, Charlene “Kay” (Daniel) Van Beek, Allen “Rick” Griffin; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude Andrew Griffin and Mable Griffin; siblings; and a grandson.  Claude was a devoted employee of Steelcase, where he dedicated over 40 years of service.  He had a deep love for his collection of classic country music records and found joy in riding his motorcycle.  In his younger years, he worked as a farmer and spent much of his time riding horses, pursuits that reflected his hardworking spirit and love of the outdoors.  Cremation has taken place.  A celebration of Claude’s life will be held at The Lodge at Pinery Park, 2301 DeHoop Ave., Wyoming, October 19, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Corewell Hospice and Palliative Care.
