Bruce Fahling

Bruce Milton Fahling, age 76, of Grand Rapids, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 surrounded by his family.  He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.  Bruce loved hunting, fishing and snowmobiling in his younger years.  Later, his focus turned to his grandkids, and his love of everything U of M, Tigers and Lions.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Marlene.  He will be lovingly remembered by his children: Randy Berdyck, Kimberly and James Howard, Pamela and Rob Robinson, and Cindy and Terry Babinksi; grandchildren: Gabby, Nathan, Ryan and Samantha.  According to his wishes, cremation has taken place.  Bruce wanted to have a final drink and hot dog with those he loved and laughed with, so a Celebration of Bruce's life will be held on February 1, 2026 at The Wright Tavern in Conklin from 11:00am to 1:00pm.  The family asks that you wear one of Bruce’s favorite teams, U of M, Detroit Tigers or Lions gear. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to West Michigan Hospice.
