Barbara Jean VerStrate-Smith, age 47, of Wyoming, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 2, 2026. Barbi loved car rides, plants and going to the lake and boating. Most of all, she loved taking care of her children.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 25 years, Jerry; children: Cammi Smith, Kaiden VerStrate and Dante VerStrate; sister: Vicki (Jeff) Marsh; sister-in-law, Angela (Jeff) Kuklewski; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Smith and Barb Kent.
According to her wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Barbi’s life will be held privately.
