ANITA M. PROCTOR
Anita M. Proctor, age 83, of Battle Creek, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2026 to be with her Lord and Savior. She was a dedicated critical care nurse during her career, but also a loving mother and grandmother as well. She loved sewing, quilting and gardening. She also enjoyed her many cats throughout the years.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters: Sendra and Dan Davis, Emily and Kris Roofstra; grandchildren: Erica (Paul) Vogel, Samantha Roofstra, Anthony (Tayler) Martin, Bradley Davis, Bryan Davis; great grandchildren: Hannah, Keagan, Nolan, Olivia, Sophia, Adam, Dylan; siblings: Donna, Wilson Jr., Becky, Bob, and Bonnie; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Shawn Martin; parents, Wilson Sr. and Wanda Guernsey; siblings: Sharon, Barbara; and her favorite cat, Pearly. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place and a private celebration of Anita’s life will be held at a later date.
